Nelma Faleiro was born in São Paulo. She holds a degree in Visagism and Hair Therapy, a postgraduate specialisation in Cosmetic Trichology and a degree in Aesthetics and Cosmetics. She taught at university for ten years — at Anhembi Morumbi and Cruzeiro do Sul — covering cutting, trichology, visagism and image harmonisation.
Her research began with chemically processed afro-textured hair and expanded to scalp health as a whole: shedding, thinning, dermatitis and what trichoscopy reveals before any product. In visagism, she champions beauty that does not chase a standard — it starts from each person’s real face and respects diversity.
